Project Description

This project consists of the design and construction of a two storey circular building to accommodate the Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence including 6 playing pitches and a drills area. 10 dressing rooms with associated medical and administration rooms wrap around a central 25m by 20m hall. The hall structure is constructed with long spanning cast in situ reinforced concrete Tee Beams, this structure provides maximum flexibility going forward. The perimeter rooms are being constructed with load bearing masonry. The first floor structure is formed with structural steelwork; this form allows glazing to be accommodated around the full circle. Malachy Walsh and Partners provided the Civil, Structural and Building Services input to this project.
