Project Description

Malachy Walsh and Partners provided civil, structural and building services engineering as well as PSDP services on this project which involved the conversion and change of use of a listed convent building into high quality apartments and offices. The requirements of conservation and sustainability lead to the recommendation of the use of a centralised automated plant room and services remote from the main building. This meant that automated billing would be possible and that the impact on the fabric of the listed buildings would be minimised as flues were centralised in three main internal shafts. Facade retention was required on the project.
